Sneak Peek Into New Catalog

So, I finally received my preview products and had a chance to play with some of them.  I made the following products for my downline meeting.  Most of these items will not be available for purchase until after June 1st when the new catalog goes active.

I made a card, an 8.5″ x 11″ scrapbook page, and a purse.  I have to admit, I thought the new In-Colors were just “okay” when I saw them online, but WOW, they are very vibrant, fun colors!  I really, really love the Gumball Green!

This card was stamped on the Shimmery White paper (101910).  The large flower is from the Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set (126006).  I stamped it using the Gumball Green stamp pad (126861) – by the way, the new redesigned stamp pads are to die for!  They have great coverage!  I then used the Summer Starfruit ink pad (126991) to ink up and stamp using Betsy’s Blossoms Standard Stampin’ Around Wheel (126943).  If you are going to stamp with the wheel, you need the Stampin’ Around Standard Handle (102971).  I also highly recommend the Stampin’ Around Wheel Guide (104834), which is unfortunately retiring at the end of this month, so get it while you can!  I finished the card off with Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919) and a strip of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126872).

I am really in love with this scrapbooking page!  I used Summer Starfruit cardstock (126839) as a base.  I then stamped flowers in the matching Summer Starfruit ink (126991), again using Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set.  I finished with a bird from the same set stamped in Primrose Petals ink (126858).  Look at the great coverage the new ink pad gave me on that bird!  I used more Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919) for this page on the left hand side, and used Primrose Petals card stock (126841) as a matte for the picture of my beautiful daughter, Olivia.

Last, but certainly not least, I made this adorable purse using the new Big Shot Petite Purse die (125606).  I decided on my new favorite, Gumball Green, to make the purse.  I then cut the top portion using Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919) in Primrose Petals, and finished it off with a neat little bow of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126872).  When making 3D projects such as this cute purse, Sticky Strip (104294) is a must to keep it all together!

I hope you have enjoyed getting a glimpse of what’s to come in the new catalog!  Trust me, it won’t disappoint!

Scrappin’ Layout: Baby Boy

I created this two page layout about a month ago for a friend’s baby shower.

The DSP used is actually retired, but I had it on hand so I used it!  The hand prints and “it’s a boy” phrase are from the “Baby Prints” stamp set (125472) you can purchase from the Occasions Mini through the end of the month.  I used the Distressing Essentials Kit (118762) to distress the edges of the paper.
