Card: PPA166 – Pals Paper Arts Challenge

I have never participated in a Pals Paper Arts challenge before, but I really wanted to try it out when I saw this color combination!

I really love these colors together, so last night I got to work, and this is what I came up with.

I’m not usually a “bling” type of girl, but I thought this card was screaming for a little sparkle!  Note the Silver Sparkle dazzling details around the smaller pennant.

Card: Finally!

I really hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s Hawaii Ink Blog Hop!  It was a ton of fun and there is a lot of talent in our group!

Here are some details on how I created yesterday’s hop card.

All About You

The base of the card is Whisper White cardstock.  I used Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper, which was carried over from last year’s catalog.  I am so glad that it was!  The colors are so much fun to play with.

The stamp set is new, and I am in love with it.  It has a lot of fun greetings, so the title of the set Really Good Greetings, is a really good name!

To make the flags, I used a square punch, eyeballed it so it would be lined up properly, and punched it out.  So simple!  I love this technique to create flags.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:

Really Good Greetings (w 130330, c 130333)

Whisper White cardstock (100730)

Rich Razzleberry cardstock (115316)

Polka Dot Parade DSP (126902)

StazOn Ink Pad (101406)

SNAIL Adhesive (104332)

Stampin’ Trimmer (126889)

1″ Square punch (124094)

1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Whisper White (126877)

Craft Scissors (108360)

Card: Bright Blossom

This is a cute little 3 x 3 card that was very simple to whip up!  I used Bright Blossoms (125497) stamp set, and colored the flower using Old Olive (126953) and Rich Razzleberry (126950).  I then punched that image out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch (119861).  I layered that on top of Rich Razzleberry (115316) punched out with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch (119860).  The scallop punch is 1-3/4″ (119854) in Daffodil Delight (119683).  The base of the card is Not Quite Navy (101722), and there is a little strip of Summer Smooches DSP (125409) on the bottom of the card.  This was super simple to create, and would go great with a small gift.

The coordinating envelope was very simple to make as well, using Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334) and the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (125586) add on.

July Stamp Club Project

Today we had our last Stamp Club with our current group.  I had to make an extra special project for the occasion, and here it is!  I love it!  I got the idea from my leader, Lisa Curcio, who got it from YouTube (search Sweet Note Tote).  Check it out!

(Please excuse the picture quality – I didn’t have very good lighting today, but I wanted to get these up for everyone to see!)

This is the outside view of the Stationary Holder.  I used the new Patio Party designer series paper (126916).  It is so fun, isn’t it?!

Here is what the tote looks like when opened.  One side holds Medium Envelopes (Whisper White, 107301) and the other side holds the cards (I used 4 of each).  What a great gift!

I created the card using the Make a Cake stamp set (126742).  It coordinates perfectly with the Patio Party DSP.  The cake was stamped in the new In Color, Midnight Muse (126860).  Everyone at Stamp Club today commented on how great the new ink pads are.  You don’t need to press hard at all – in fact, you shouldn’t press hard at all because then it will be too juicy.  Just a tip, if you haven’t used the new stamp pads yet, test out the stamp a few times on scratch paper just to get the hang of it.  The background paper you see is also an In Color, Primrose Petals (126841).  We ran the cardstock through the Big Shot (113439) using the Perfect Polka Dots Folder (117335).  The ribbon you see is the new 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Daffodil Delight (126872).  I also used Daffodil Delight (119683) and Whisper White cardstock (100730).

If you live in the area and are interested in Stamp Club, please comment below or go to my website for my contact information.  I plan to start the next group in September if I can get a group of 6 together.

Sneak Peek Into New Catalog

So, I finally received my preview products and had a chance to play with some of them.  I made the following products for my downline meeting.  Most of these items will not be available for purchase until after June 1st when the new catalog goes active.

I made a card, an 8.5″ x 11″ scrapbook page, and a purse.  I have to admit, I thought the new In-Colors were just “okay” when I saw them online, but WOW, they are very vibrant, fun colors!  I really, really love the Gumball Green!

This card was stamped on the Shimmery White paper (101910).  The large flower is from the Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set (126006).  I stamped it using the Gumball Green stamp pad (126861) – by the way, the new redesigned stamp pads are to die for!  They have great coverage!  I then used the Summer Starfruit ink pad (126991) to ink up and stamp using Betsy’s Blossoms Standard Stampin’ Around Wheel (126943).  If you are going to stamp with the wheel, you need the Stampin’ Around Standard Handle (102971).  I also highly recommend the Stampin’ Around Wheel Guide (104834), which is unfortunately retiring at the end of this month, so get it while you can!  I finished the card off with Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919) and a strip of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126872).

I am really in love with this scrapbooking page!  I used Summer Starfruit cardstock (126839) as a base.  I then stamped flowers in the matching Summer Starfruit ink (126991), again using Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set.  I finished with a bird from the same set stamped in Primrose Petals ink (126858).  Look at the great coverage the new ink pad gave me on that bird!  I used more Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919) for this page on the left hand side, and used Primrose Petals card stock (126841) as a matte for the picture of my beautiful daughter, Olivia.

Last, but certainly not least, I made this adorable purse using the new Big Shot Petite Purse die (125606).  I decided on my new favorite, Gumball Green, to make the purse.  I then cut the top portion using Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919) in Primrose Petals, and finished it off with a neat little bow of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126872).  When making 3D projects such as this cute purse, Sticky Strip (104294) is a must to keep it all together!

I hope you have enjoyed getting a glimpse of what’s to come in the new catalog!  Trust me, it won’t disappoint!

Card: Miss You Airplane

This card was a lot of fun to create.  I used the scallop punch (119854) to punch out a scrap piece of paper and then sponged around the template with a Stamping Sponge (101610) using the Pacific Point ink pad (111837) to create the clouds.  The airplane is from the Ain’t Love Grand hostess set (122507) and colored in with Real Red and Daffodil Delight markers and then cut out using the Paper Snips (103579) – I totally love the Paper Snips by the way!  Great scissors for cutting in small spaces.  “You mean the world to me” came from the Word Play stamp set (120651).  I used the blender pens to lightly color in the globe with the Pacific Point.  The sentiment is then layered on Real Red cardstock (102482).

Card: Get Well

This get well card uses the Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper found in the Big Top Birthday pack.  The base of the card was made with Whisper White cardstock, with Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight cardstock used as mats.  The “get well” sentiment and umbrella were stamped from the Ain’t Love Grand hostess set.  The bright colors used are sure to cheer up anyone who isn’t feeling very well.
