Card: Thinking of You

This card was super simple to create.  The most difficult part was free-hand cutting the template to do the sponging behind the leaves, but even that wasn’t too terribly difficult (just took some trial and error).

I stamped this card on Sahara Sand cardstock (121043).  I used Gumball Green (126861) to do the sponging and stamping.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Stamping Sponges (101610) to sponge up behind the leaves.  *Here’s a tip about the sponges – they come in 3 fairly large sponges in the package – I cut them up in quarters so you have more of them and I think they last longer that way!

The leaf is from Betsy’s Blossoms (126006) – I only inked up the part that I would be stamping.  “Thinking of You” was stamped from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set (127802).

Remember, a beautiful, heartfelt card doesn’t have to be super elaborate to warm the heart of a friend or family member!

Card: Bright Blossom

This is a cute little 3 x 3 card that was very simple to whip up!  I used Bright Blossoms (125497) stamp set, and colored the flower using Old Olive (126953) and Rich Razzleberry (126950).  I then punched that image out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch (119861).  I layered that on top of Rich Razzleberry (115316) punched out with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch (119860).  The scallop punch is 1-3/4″ (119854) in Daffodil Delight (119683).  The base of the card is Not Quite Navy (101722), and there is a little strip of Summer Smooches DSP (125409) on the bottom of the card.  This was super simple to create, and would go great with a small gift.

The coordinating envelope was very simple to make as well, using Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334) and the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (125586) add on.

Card: Betsy’s Bird

I love the bright, bold colors of this card!  I stamped the bird from the Betsy’s Blossoms set (126006) in Primrose Petals (126858).  I then sponged around the edges in the same ink before matting that paper down to Primrose Petals cardstock (126841).  The beautiful paper is Floral District DSP (126919).  The 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon is in Gumball Green (126848).

Please tell me, what is your favorite new In Color?

Card: Keep Calm

I know it has been a while since I last posted.  I’m full of excuses, but I promise to try and be a better blogger!

Here is a simple card, for those of you who are busy like me!  I punched out the hearts using the Small Heart (117193) punch in all of the new 2012-14 In Colors (Gumball Green, 126840; Midnight Muse, 126843; Primrose Petals, 126841; Raspberry Ripple, 126842; and Summer Starfruit, 126839).  I used the Carry On Hostess Set (126647) to stamp “Keep Calm and Stamp On” in Gumball Green (126861).  The mat around that sentiment is Designer Series Paper from the Floral District (126919) set.  I love how simple and bold this card is!

How would you like to meet up with a fun group of stampers once a month and earn a FREE hostess gift and catalog?!

The last round of Stamp Club just ended last month, so I am looking for people to join in the fun starting again in September.  We need a total of 6 Stampers for this group to start.  Each month, we will meet at my house and make a project.  One person will be selected at random to be the “hostess of the month” to earn the free hostess gift, until all 6 Club members have received their free product.  All you have to do is commit to meeting once a month for 6 months with the rest of the club members and purchase a minimum of $25 worth of merchandise each month.  This is a perfect solution for those that want to stamp on a budget!  We only have room for 6 people, so if you want to sign up, act fast!

Happy Stamping!
